About

Our Beliefs

We are like most Christians in the US, having been raised in various protestant denominations and Catholicism

We grew up being told what to believe and continued thinking we knew the truth of our Christian faith until discovering for ourselves what the Bible teaches.  To our alarm, we found disparities. Now, our mission is to show others what we have found, the marvel, the mystery, and the mayhem. We believe the theology of the Christian world, in general, is in deep trouble and does not know it.

We are not an organization, and everyone who participates in this website is a volunteer

We endorse no denomination. We fellowship with one another through this website and email correspondence.  We acknowledge that most churches are businesses, some with staggering wealth.  They have buildings to maintain, a product to deliver, money to collect, wages to be paid, good works programs to promote, and a clientele they need to keep happy, but many of these denominations are losing customers.  We believe we know why.

We don't want donations or to sell you anything

We are self-funded. Our only goal is to share what God has shown us, something difficult to find in mainstream Christianity: sound doctrine.  The gospel taught by most churches, though Bible based, is incomplete and lacks elements necessary for salvation.  The real truth the Bible teaches has been deliberately altered and obscured, and to our sadness, we find many Christians preferring it that way 2 Timothy 4:3-4

Our mission is to reach the few that Jesus spoke of: “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.” Matthew 7:14

Why do we use 1st John as a website name?

We find in the entire book of 1John a very beautiful description of what it means to be a true Christian, and we zoom in on 12 specific verses where John describes what it means to be “Children of God”. We begin with 1 John 2:28-29  and conclude with 1 John 3:1-10 . We believe that when John penned this letter, he masterfully shows us what a true follower of Jesus Christ looks like, living a new life in the Spirit. Read it for yourself and see if you agree. If you don’t, and feel so inclined, let us know your thoughts. That is what we are all about, an open discussion that leads people to embrace sound doctrine.

Who is YF?

Yoder Fozzgood is not a person, but an amalgam of several people who share a common understanding of the Bible, yet he is the persona of our group. We do not want to build a ministry or a reputation for ourselves collectively or individually, so we choose to remain anonymous.  We are not preachers or evangelists; we simply think of ourselves as researchers.  Everything we say and do is for our Savior Jesus Christ and His church, to quickly share the truth we find so people can be informed, because false doctrine is a cloaked thief. We hope you find real blessings from our website.
