The Simplicity In Christ—The Unconflicted Life

Table of Contents

But I fear, lest somehow, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, so your minds may be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.

Living Free From the World’s Demands

Dear believers in Christ:

We have been called to a simplified life, one that is focused on our Savior and living according to His example and instructions. We have divested ourselves from the world and its insatiable demands, to pursue the grand prize of all eternity, Jesus Himself!  In Him, our needs have been met and our future secured, provided we are truly His followers. We all need to know Christ, personally. Give Him everything we have that He wants: our love and devotion, our highest thoughts, our deepest desires, and our greatest hope and full obedience, all to Him and in Him, for Him.

Freedom From Inner Conflict

If we find ourselves still struggling with sin, we have not truly departed from the clutches of the enemy, and the craftiness of the serpent still has our ear. We are being deceived by him if we believe church doctrines that convince us that all is well when it is not; it is far from it! To abide in Christ is to be “free” from conflict, that struggle between right and wrong, good and bad, what is pure and what is evil.

Abiding in Christ Leads to Peace

If we have abandoned sin, truly, the conflict is gone. What we want more than anything else is to be as close to Jesus as we can get, and we hate all things that can and do separate us from Him. Loving-Him-most displaces all the things Satan has to offer, permanently. Let us strive to be living the life we were called to live, a simplified life in Christ.
